The Harvest Is Plentiful: But the Workers Are Few

“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.”
That scripture isn’t a suggestion.
It’s a summons.

We live in a world overflowing with need:  emotional, spiritual, financial, relational. Everywhere you look, someone is carrying a burden that’s heavier than it should be. Yet too often, we walk past opportunity because we’re waiting on permission, position, or perfection.

Somewhere along the way, someone planted for me.
Someone prayed when I didn’t know I needed it.
Someone showed up, spoke life, opened a door, or carried me when I was tired.
I didn’t get here alone and neither did you.

Now the question is simple: what will we plant for someone else?

I dare you to work.

Not just clock in. Not just show up. But work with intention. Work with heart. Work with purpose. The kind of work that doesn’t wait for applause or acknowledgment.

I dare you to find others and help.

You don’t need a title to lift someone. You don’t need a platform to serve. You just need eyes that see and hands that are willing. Too many people are trying to win alone when the real breakthrough comes in community.

I dare you to lighten someone else’s load.

Sometimes it’s a conversation. Sometimes it’s a resource. Sometimes it’s simply listening without rushing to respond. You never know how close someone is to giving up and your willingness to step in might be the very thing that keeps them going.

I dare you to be kind.

Kindness isn’t weakness. It’s strength under control. It’s choosing grace when frustration would be easier. It’s remembering that everyone is fighting a battle you know nothing about.

I dare you to do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Not when it’s convenient.
Not when it benefits you.
But because character doesn’t change based on circumstances.

I dare you to make the world a better place.

Not globally first but locally. In your home. Your job. Your school. Your circle. Impact doesn’t start big. It starts faithful.

Finally, I dare you to put a smile on your face.

Not because life is perfect—but because hope is powerful. Because joy is contagious. Because someone is watching how you respond to pressure and learning what strength really looks like.

The harvest is ready.
The need is real.
The moment is now.

Don’t wait to be chosen.
Be willing.

Because when you decide to work, help, lift, love, and serve
you’re not just answering a call.

You’re honoring what was planted in you
and extending it forward.

Someone planted for me.
Now I’m planting for someone else.

Now that’s how a harvest becomes a movement…
