REALITY CHECK

My thoughts and prayers go out for Damar Hamlin and his family/friends/teammates!  All of their lives have changed in the blink of an eye and to me this should serve as a reminder that this is not Fantasy Football, Madden, NBA2K, Last Chance U, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, a Netflix Series, Altered Reality TV Show or YouTube channel it’s REALITY!!!!  In life when dealing with others we have to stop being conditioned to operate as if people are placed on this earth merely for our entertainment. I’m tired of the constant negativity, drama filled, belittling and distracting that’s been placed in front of us. It’s time to apply the Platinum Rule of being people that treat others wayyyyy better than we want to be treated as the Golden Rule isn’t good enough anymore as people don’t hold themselves in high regards any longer.  When you interact with others take the time to truly value them and appreciate what they bring to the table by seeing that they are on Earth to contribute in some shape, form or fashion. The simple method of treating everyone like a transaction has placed us in this simulated society that has placed us all in a position that we are operating from an insufficient funds when it comes to our emotional state.  If you are a parent, little league coach, travel ball coach, personal trainer, school ball coach, college coach or professional coach you have a JOB to be a ROLE MODEL for the next generation!  It’s vital that you don’t simply use the kids/players to get personal attention, glorification and compensation but that you actually help them form their VALUES/BELIEFS that will shape the future!  Stop taking shortcuts and treating them as perishable people that you can merely throw away once they no longer hold value to you any longer. We are all here for only a predetermined amount of time and it’s up to us to make the most of that time that we’ve been given. I’m just stopping by to encourage everyone to get to work making a DECISION to want something DIFFERENT out of life and to stop being mere pawns in this Chess Game that we’ve been placed into.  It’s essential we stop looking for the cheap filled TURN UP because it’s passed the time to LEVEL UP by sending PRAYERS UP to ultimately the ONE who can truly bring about the CHANGE UP we all desperately NEED!!  #PrayingForDamarHamlin
